SYNOPSIS

In this true story of a world ravaged by man-made calamities and supernatural forces, my family stood as a beacon of resilience and hope. Born into an Eritrean family during amid turmoil of war for independence from Ethiopia, my childhood was a tapestry woven with threads of joy, adventure, sorrow, and triumph against uncontrollable forces. My parents, burdened with the weight of protecting their children from the jaws of one of the world's most brutal conflict, instilled in me a slant and unspoken fight against the oppressive grip of socialism.

“The tales of Amiche and his family chronicling their extraordinary journey through inconceivable turns and twists that captivated me from start to end.
Eloquently narrated, as the memoir unfolded, I was taken on a rollercoaster of emotions, from heart-wrenching despair to tears of laughter. The unexpected twists and turns of Amiche's family saga kept them on the edge of their seats, yearning to unravel the mysteries that lay within the intricate tapestry of Amiche, and his family's lives.

In the end, the memoir of Amiche and his family was not just a story of survival, but a testament to the resilience of the human spirit. It offered me a glimpse into the complexities of the human condition and the enduring power of love and unity in the face of insurmountable odds. As I turned the final pages, I was left with a profound sense of awe and admiration for the indomitable spirit of Amiche and his family, a legacy that would live on for generations to come."
